This morning I finished watching Schitt’s Creek on CBC Gem. It is about a rich family that loses everything except the deed to a little town called, you guessed it, Schitt’s Creek. They get put up in a motel and begin to immerse themselves in the life of the town, slowly building up their status, while making friends along the way. I loved Dan Levy, Sarah Levy, and Annie Murphy in this show. Dan especially is a master of physical comedy, completely in control of his body and his facial expressions. Murphy is also very physical; one of her trademark moves is to boop people affectionately on the nose. She’s got this half-smile thing going on that is adorable. Sarah Levy is a ball of sunshine; her smile is infectious. Greats like Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, and Chris Elliot round out the cast and make the show something special. As you can probably tell, I enjoyed the show quite a bit.
