Dad got his surgery done today. Soon he will be able to see relatively well out of both eyes.

I finished Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone today. I sped through it in three days. It is my favourite book that I’ve read for this course and also the last. All I have left is to write my last essay and take the final exam.

I have many thoughts about the book, but I’ll relegate it to one: they shouldn’t have won the House Cup. Dumbledore was clearly bullshitting when he gave them all those points and playing favourites. Sometimes I feel bad for the Slytherins, for all they get shit on by the holier than thou Gryffindors. If I were in a house it’d probably be Gryffindor, but like Harry, I could easily fall into Slytherin.

I’m not going to reread the rest of the series because I’ve already read it 3+x. Though it is very good.
