Last night M. and I went out to Williams by the water and had coffee and a triple chocolate brownie. We started out outside and were accompanied by some lovely birds, some chickadees and a particularly bold seagull, but the chill was too much and we moved indoors. We talked of a job opportunity I applied for that has me excited, but I won’t say too much of it here incase I don’t get it. At 6:00pm we left and took the long way back to the car to enjoy the scenery, then meandered on back to my house where I made a frozen meal for myself (vegetables and chicken) and toast with peanut butter for M. We also had some of the cucumber and lime gose from Nickelbrook Brewery that I bought a few weeks ago. After we ate, we walked Zazu around the block in the dark, which as it turns out is NOT my preferred time of day for walking as I couldn’t see if he was trying to pee or just lolligagging. When Mom and Dad came home from their games night we wrapped things up. Once M. was on his way, I went upstairs and did 30 minutes on the treadmill at a fast walk.
Today I took it easy, studying for my fast approaching English exam and reading. My parents went to my sister Brittany’s house to help them celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. Apparently they had cake. I didn’t get any cake. I did finish off the butterscotch ripple that was in the freezer, though. For dinner, we had roast pork, potatoes, carrots, and stuffing with gravy. I had a tablespoon of stuffing because it’s hard to resist, but left the bulk of my calories for some Jolly Rancher’s I have up in my room that I’m trying to finish off. 7/360 left. I’ve had them for 2.5 years, so they’re a little chewy when they’re supposed to be hard, but they’re still good.
My goal for the upcoming week is to walk at least 30mins a day on my treadmill, in addition to the walks with Zazu and my weight lifting. If I get this job, there’ll be some bending and squatting and lifting and carrying, so I may as well try to get in better shape. The chances of me getting this job at very slim but it certainly has been motivating.
That’s all.
